Choose to Read Ohio

April 14, 2020 – Act 3, a media and publishing firm, announced today that the uplifting memoir, Designing Victory, was named as one of only five books for adult readers selected for biennial recognition in Ohio. The State Library of Ohio and the Ohioana Library Association, with the Ohio Center for the Book and the Choose to Read Ohio Advisory Council, announced the 20 books selected for the 2021 & 2022 “Choose to Read Ohio” (CTRO) booklist.

Books on this list are singled out to be made available to schools, libraries, book clubs and other community programs.

Congratulations to co-authors Robert P. Madison, FAIA, and Carlo Wolff for earning this  prestigious recognition. Madison’s story of prevailing in battles over racism, Nazi forces in WWII, and diminished expectations of the architectural profession he loves serves as an inspiration to anyone who has been told, “You’ll never succeed.”
