On thick ice

after several nights of temperatures in the single digits, and daytime highs in the teens, and at least four inches plus thickness of the lake, sure seemed to me this would make for both a safe and surreal experience. Walking on water, frozen, flat water, can be an amazing experience that you may only get to experience a couple of days a year – and maybe never.

It’s important to acknowledge prudent advice. But sometimes to follow your heart you need to follow your feet onto a slippery surface to discover who you are.
